Hey everyone! Im doing a letter together today because I have absolutely no time. I havent read through any letters but im printing them all out to read tonight. this week was great! They changed our p day to today because we had a mission activity and hit up the local zoo lol. It was actually a lot nicer than I expected and pretty fun. But we have our english class tonight at the church so we have zero time to do anything else. Im going to try to send a bunch of pictures of this week and I will tell you more next week! Ok heres the highlights. We had our first baptism! Wooo! It was beautiful and wonderful and fanstic and I cant wait to experience that again! They are wonderful. Ill send a picture. Ok craziest thing this week. Ive had these weird little spider guys on my desk all week and I couldnt figure out wehre they were coming from. The other day I took my speaker to the kitchen and plugged it into charge and it exploded with spiders! They had been living in my speaker! The picture Im sending is the second explosion after I had already cleaned them up a ton. So nasty. There were hundreds of them. But I sprrayed my speaker a bunch and shook it out and I think they re all gone. They were storing food in there and everything! Weve had great fun with lizards, centipedes, and cucaraches this week. And my companion wont kill anything so thats my job. the dang lizardss are so fast it sucks. I hate the cocroaches but at least they die when we spray them with the nasty spray stuff we have. While me and my companion were walking this week she all the sudden started freaking out and screaming and pointing to my back. I kept asking what it was and she finally said it was a huge spider but wouldn{t do anything! I kept saying hermana! I cannot see it you have to help me! Finally after like a whole minute of screaming she wacked whatever it was off my back. I never saw it but holy moly. Ew and I tried that whole corn with mayonaise and chile thing. Ew so nasty. I decided I would try it because its my comps favortie thing but wow that was gross. Straight mayo. Blechh. T


Today was really fun. I spent a lot of them with all the american sisters and It was a nice break to speak in english for a while. I think it kind of makes the native speakers mad when we do that but it sooooo nice to be able to have apersonality for two seconds. President George is AWESOME. He came to our baptism and is just wonderful. I{m so glad to have an american president. and hes so much more laid back then the president before. Which I quite like. I think thats about it. Im sorry its so short but im going to try to send all my pictures. I hope everything is going great I will read all your letters tonight. Tayler - August 18, 2014

It was super awesome to be able to go to a sealing the other week the things the sealer said and the prayer and everything was so awesome. And it really is something really special. well its good that everything is going well back home sounds like you had a good time boating. I dont know but the other day we walked by the gas station in our area and i really miss going to the gas station to fill up the car i never thought that would be something i missed but oh well its weird sometimes the things that we do everday and then we stop dong them all of a sudden and its weird. Sounds like Jacob is doing good. Being the smart aleck senior kind of like i was. I guess that's normal. well i this week was tough for me. my companion is really starting to get on my nerves. we have been together for about 2 months and i am really starting to notice the differences that we have. mostly cultural background i try to not let it bother me but he always wasn't to argue things with me and its always about stuff that happened in the past and i had nothing to do with and for some reason its my fault they happened but whatever. its my decision if i get angry and i try to not let it bother me. well that's about it not much happened this week because my companion was sick to so we stayed in the apartment a lot and i made use of the time to read the Book of Mormon in Spanish. i am in 2 Nephi right now in the Isaiah chapters and i don't understand anything but hopefully it will help me to read the Book of Mormon all the way through in Spanish. this week was kind of crazy we didnt have a lot of time to work. First last monday and tuesday i was sick i had like a super cold and it was killing me so we didnt work on monday and on tuesday we came back to the apartment an our early then on saturday we went to the temple a family in the ward who were receiving their endowments and being sealed it was really awesome to be able to share that experience with them. it was cool to be able to do the endowment session in spanish too and i basically understood everything. i can tell my spanish is a lot better than when i got here. then on sunday we had a baptism of one of our investigators that we ahd been working with for 2 months and it was so awsome to see him get baptized. and then i did the confirmation in spanish wich i did awesome i was a little nervous but i just said what came to my mind it wasnt very long of a confirmation but it was good. and then after the baptism we had to drain the font but the pump wasnt working and we had to drain it with buckets and we still didnt finish. so this week was crazy but a good week. i feel spirtually charged from the activities we did. well i will send you some pictures i love you.

Well, we didn´t complete many of our goals this week. We tried to venture into some other áreas in our área. Our área is huge. One part is this Little área about 30 minutes up the mountain that oh my gosh is so Poor. I can´t even tell you how blesssed we are to have what we have. But we got lost up there and wasted a bunch of time. Really frustrating when that happens. But ten last night our district leader told us that we had the best week of all the companionships in the district. So i´m a Little nervous as to the week of the other missionaries becasue honestly ours was awful. BUT this week is going to be fantastic. I´m extremely excited that it´s monday and it´s a new start. We have a baptism on Saturday! Wooohooo! It´s gloria, samantha, and dulce. They are wonderful and so excited. They are so prepared and have invited so much family to come participate. I can´t wait to share pictures and tell you about it next week. It´s going to be so amazing. Also I´ve ready 3 out of my 4 books that I can read on my misión and I´m not even 3 months in lol. So I´ll be starting Jesús the Christ this week probaly. That will take me a lot more time tan the others. Oh and just so you know the our search for happiness book is wonderful. Did you know what it is? Because i didn´t before lol. It´s a book for people that want to understand our religión. It´s not for conversión purposes, totally for the purpose of understanding. It´s really good and really blunt and has some really great examples in it. I really enjoy my studying time in the mornings. I think it´s my favortie part of my day. I´m sleeping soooo much better and I can tell that´s helping me with my energy during the day. Oh and we only had to kill like 2 cockroaches this week in the house so that´s better tan other weeks. Gosh I hate those things. One was in our room this week and my companion can´t kill anything so that becomes my job. I follow them around with this way strong spray killer stuff that i probably shouldn´t inhale. It kills them prettty quick. Yuck. I will be so happy to leave behind those critters. And speaking of critters i´m very happy the new cat has returned lol. Are you sticking with it being an outside cat? Is it getting along well with Bailey? How is Bailey dog? Getting in the trash every day? Well I can´t think of much more today.

Oh and I made striped jello lol. Don´t mine the uneaven layers. I had a cup to measure with and it actually turned out pretty good ha. Shocked.

well we have an activity today so i don't have a lot of time but this week was good. we didn't have any baptisms but we will this weekend for sure. and also i have had a cold the last few days which has been miserable but hopefully that goes away soon. well our president changed a bunch of rules to so now we can drink coke and mate cocido which is mate in like a tea bag thing but it doesn't taste very good basically it tastes like grass. also it has been pretty hot here for the last few days which is weird because its supposed to be winter here and the other day it rained super hard only for about 15 minutes but we got super wet. well i think that's about all i will write more next week today is kind of crazy. i love you.

Lexie - August 4, 2014

Hola everyone! Another quick week and I have officially finished one cambio! My training lasts for 12 weeks though so I´m half way done with that. I finally got to have an interview with president George this week. Holy smokes I am so grateful to have an american misión president that I can speak to in English. When I was in the interview I felt totally like myself again! Personality and all! That was really nice. He´s extrememly laid back which I like! He was funny he was telling me all these stories of things that have happened since he arrived and after he would say, I probably shouldn´t have told you that lol. He´s really great, and so is his wife. She´s extremely concerned about health things so we´re getting lots of lectures on washing our hands and all that jazz. So guess what I ate this week! Lazagna! No joke one of the members that fed us tried to make it and it was actually pretty good! I was so happy to eat something that didn´t go with a tortilla! I´m not really taking yoshas advice with the one tortilla a day thing so lets hope I don´t come back twice my size. Also I started using a pillow this week and I am sleeping so much better! Haha. There were pillows at the apartement from the elders that had been there before us but we decided that was gross and we would go with out. One of the elders is in our zone still and last week at out conference he told us that they had the pillows washed before we got there! So my ability to sleep has improved a ton! I also ate something called mole? I think? I´m not really sure what it is but It wasn´t my favorite. We were supposed to have a baptism this saturday but the family wants to invite other family to come watch which is great and someone important couldn´t come this week. So it will be next week. It´s a really great family and I´m super excited! I´ve absolutely loved my study time this week. My companion talked to me about the christ like attributes section of Preach my góspel the other day and I started Reading through them and decided to choose one to work one every week. This weeks attribute is humility and WOW there are some extremely powerful scriptures about being humble. I think some days here are so fast pased that I forget really what I am doing and what my purpose is. I literally am an instrument in Gods hands, and I know that the more I ask for his guidance and help the stronger I´m going to be. Everything about how I´m able to communicate with people and share this góspel is because He is blessing me with the ability to do it. I also have been Reading true to the faith the last couple weeks. I know it´s a reference book but I´ve liked Reading through it. I read something the other day in the prayer section that I absolutely loved. Every day with our investigators we talk about how we are here on this earth to grow and progress and that we are not in anyway perfect and that´s ok! We need to excersize repentance and grow every day. We´ve talked to serveral people and I know I´ve had this feeling before about not feeling like I was able to pray. Feeling like Heavenly Father didn´t want to hear about another day of my earthly drama. But I know that this is not a feeling from God. In true to the faith it says, If you do not feel like praying, pray until you do feel like praying. I love this so much. I hope that everyone can remember this when it comes to prayer, Heavenly Father is always there and always wants to listen. I hope everyone has a wonderful week. I love you all! Can´t believe it´s already been six weeks!
