Tayler - November 9, 2015

Well this week was interesting. we spent the whole week contacting and we didnt teach anyone but this week we have lots of appointments to go back and hopefully we can have some lessons. And as of right now we only have one investigator but he is really awesome and is going to get baptized on the 21 of this month so we are excited for that. Also he has like 4 kids that can get baptized to so we are working with his family too. Also yesterday we had stake conference wich went well i really enjoyed it, there was a primary kid choir wich is always fun to listen too even though they dont sing very well, no one in argentina sings well. and yea so it is starting to get pretty hot down here i feel like when november started the temperature jumped up and now it is just hot. And i think i am set with clothes and stuff for now. So yeah its all going good and yesterday i gave my first baptismal interview now that i am district leader i have to do that so that was interesting i was a little stressed but it went well. Well i love you mom and have a good week.

Me and my comp from Spain

Jacob - November 5, 2015

Hey mom I didn't take many Pics this week so I left my camera at the casa. Also did you send a package through the Mexico care package website? Cause I know that's a thing they have here and I think it's something they do through the Costco down here cause tons of missionaries get stuff from them. But I got a Package from Lexie which was full of Mexican Goodies. She sent me this Orange Powder that is similar to a chocolate milk mix, but i'm not sure what it tastes like yet. Um things here at the CCM have been normal. The days are kind of monotonous, but it's all good. I think my favorite days here are Sundays and Tuesdays, and Thursdays of course cause it's P-day. But I like Sundays and Tuesdays because that's when they show devotionals. I really like those here, they usually always have a good message with them. This week for Sunday we watched a clip from Elder Holand and it was very good. He just spoke about how Missionaries need to work 10x harder than he did on his mission and how we need to study and use PMG to our advantage. Also he said how we need to teach People and not Lessons which is something I need to do better at. Yesterday we had a lesson on that same topic of teaching People and I've been doing a bad job of going into the lesson too soon. I don't really get the investigator to that comfortable zone yet, but i'll work on it tonight. Thankfully our investigators are just teachers pretending to be investigators, but my night teacher is hard. He is pretending to have a Catholic background and our second lesson with him was a disaster. I'm not even going to write how bad it was. But fortunately they've been improving and I have a pretty good feeling about tonight. I'm going to put all the focus on him so that way me and my companion can figure out what he really needs. As far as your questions go I think the most important thing here for me is studying. I have this mentality that I need to study as much as possible, Also with the language I've kind of slowed down in the improvement. I really need to just study a bunch of verbs and nouns this week and take my language study a lot more seriously. But i honestly wish I could just read the scriptures all day. I don't have a ton of time to do that, but it's something that I've enjoyed here. Also there will be three missionaries that I know of that are going to my same mission, but there is a bunch going to Cali. I think most of my casa is going which is at least 12 or so in there and probably more from other casa's. Um I think the most helpful thing Lexie told me is through a letter she sent me on the 2nd week which just talked about working hard and consecrating myself in the work which I've been trying to do. It's just hard when my district is too busy goofing off, but oh well. I know I'm being blessed for my efforts. Anyways i think that's it. I love you mom and I hope you have a good time in Vegas.

My goal this week is to finish HAPPY! We had an awesome ward activity on saturday that was really good and lots of members went! Makes me super happy and they are planning a family home evening as a ward on friday when dad is here to say my goodbyes. Should be good! I cannot believe that is only 5 days away. Anyways, other than that It has been a pretty normal week. The hermana that lives under us in our house and is the owner of the building was telling me the other day about stores in salt lake where I can find everything mexico! She is awesome, we ate with her the other day and had shrimp! She even cut the heads off for us... how sweet huh? 8 of her 10 kids live in Utah and she has lots of grandkids on missions right not. She is super awesome.

This week is going to go by super fast and then I am sure the next will go by even faster. I am so excited to see you and talk to you and just be home. I am feeling every emotion in the world about leaving but I feel so confidente that Heavenly Father has a plan for me when I get home. I am going to have lots to do.

I love you tons and you will probably hear from me on Friday when dad gets here! Ill send you a facebook message from his phone or something lol. Love you tons! See you soon!

Well today was the day of transfers and i got my new area and new comp. I am now in a place called virrey del pino and my comp is elder blasco he is from spain and get this we are both new in the area. this tranfer they divided the ward here so we have to get to know everything alone and on top of that i am district leader wich i am not that excited about but thats ok it will be fun. Also last week i started reading the bible and i had some time to read so i got to numbers last week and i am going to keep reading i want to finish the bible before i end my mission. And yeah to last week for one of our lunches a sister in the ward gave us liver and we didnt know what it was so we started eating and it didnt taste like meat and it was kind of gross and later on she asked us if we liked the liver and when my comp heard that he didnt eat a bite more but i forced it down, my poor comp i thought he was going to throw up but it was kind of funny. And yeah i am sure i will have some more stories and pictures next week i didnt bring my camera today so i will sent more next week. Well i love you mom and have a good week.
